Tra gli autori uno dei maestri indiscussi dell'hip-hop Dr. Dre, al secolo André Romelle Young, che agli inizi della carriera saliva sul palco con una mascherina da medico. Nel video indossa un monocolo ed è quasi irriconoscibile. André è l'unico dei tre ancora in vita.
Il giovane cantante 2PAC (Tupac Amaru Shakur), morirà di lì a poco a 25 anni in un'agguato a Las Vegas nel 1996, dopo essere stato colpito da alcuni proiettili. Nel video è l'unico che si vede chiaramente alla guida di una jeep.
Il terzo musicista con i baffetti, Roger Troutman, duetta sul palco con Dr. Dre. Anche Roger come Tupac è morto ammazzato dopo le conseguenze di colpi di arma da fuoco sparatigli nel 1999 a Dayton in Ohio.
